Introducing Restaurant Oscar

Award-winning Chef de Cuisine, Dominique Rubaud, and Hotel Lumen Paris Louvre hotelier, Herman Bal, have combined their talents to create Restaurant Oscar --a prestigious Italian restaurant in Paris that has been voted one of the world's best restaurants. Serving all the fine and generous flavors of Italian cuisine, dishes include Sea Bass Carpaccio with Capers from Sicily, Spring Roll of Fried Mozzarella and Parma Ham, Risotto ai Frutti di Mare, Vongole, Cozze, Calamari, Gamberoni and Codfish Grilled with Sweet Garlic Cream and Vanilla Butter. Desserts at the best of restaurants near the Louvre include Matcha Tea Tiramisu and Pistachio and Orange Blossom Panna Cotta with Honey Mango Jelly and Lemongrass.

Dominique, who was born in Carentoir, a small village in French Brittany, gained his experience in large institutions in France and Switzerland. After working as Chef de Cuisine for the French Embassy in Finland, he opened his own restaurant, Chez Dominique, in Helsinki. With a passion for Italy, Chef Rubaud developed his own concept of “Fusion Cuisine” which is based on traditional Italian cuisine. His return to Paris and a meeting with hotelier, Herman Bal, has allowed the two food lovers to realize this ambitious project, Restaurant Oscar, located in the Hotel Lumen Paris Louvre.
