Venice, Italy Transportation Options

The VCE-Venice Marco Polo Airport is well connected to the city by public transportation lines, both water and land. It is located 12 kilometers over land and 10 kilometers over water. From the airport, hotel guests have a variety of transfer options to reach Hotel Concordia, which is located in the city center.

Option 1

  • Go to the pier where the public boats leave
  • Take the Alilaguna public boat (water-bus)
  • Get off at either the San Zaccaria or San Marco stop, about an hour and 15 minute ride
  • From either of the boat stops, walk 5 minutes through St. Mark's square to the hotel
  • cost is 15 Euros per person and luggage is included

Option 2

  • Go the pier where the public boats leave.
  • Take a private water taxi costing 110 to 120 Euros.
  • The water taxi will take you to the canal near the hotel which is located on Calle Larga San Marco
  • The Hotel Concordia bellman will greet you
  • You then walk a couple of minutes to the entrance of the hotel

Option 3

  • You can book a private transfer in advance through Hotel Concordia’s concierge
  • The cost is approximately 180 Euros
  • A representative will greet you at the Marco Polo Airport and accompany you to their car
  • The representative will drive you to the bus terminal of Piazzale Roma and arrange for you to get a private water taxi to the hotel
  • The water taxi will take you to the canal near the hotel which is located on Calle Larga San Marco
  • You then walk a couple of minutes to the entrance of the hotel

Avis, Europcar and Hertz Car Rental Agencies are available at the VSC-Venice Marco Polo Airport.

Public Transportation in Venice, Italy

Water Bus: Getting to the city center by water, take one of the Alilaguna motoscafi (water-buses). Alilaguna is the only public boat service serving Venice Marco Polo Airport and currently runs three routes directly to and from the airport.
Bus: Getting to the city center by land, take the AeroBus to Piazzale Roma, the bus terminal and entrance to the Grand Canal. Marco Polo airport is connected by land to the city by the ACTV's bus route AeroBus no. 5. The bus costs 10 Euros and runs from 5:00a.m. to midnight.
